After more than three years of intensive, cross-organizational evaluation and planning in the areas of education, community relations, and diversity, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association is proud to announce the launch of its new educational arm, The Institute for Learning, Access and Training.
The Institute for Learning, Access and Training at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to transforming lives through music, providing a continuum of opportunities from infancy through early adulthood that promote lifelong musical citizenship, create meaningful learning experiences for a wide spectrum of music lovers, provide increased access for Chicago communities, and foster the next generation of aspiring musicians.
Through coupling existing educational offerings with three exciting new initiatives—Orchestra Explorers, Dream Out Loud, and the Chicago Young Musician Initiative—the Institute will expand its reach to nearly 200,000 individuals annually, in Chicagoland and beyond.
